Requirements & Documents

  1. 1Employment contract or freelance contracts with companies outside Spain
  2. 2Proof of remote work capability (at least 3 months with current employer/clients)
  3. 3Minimum income of €2,646/month (200% of Spanish minimum wage / SMI)
  4. 4University degree or 3+ years of professional experience in the field
  5. 5Criminal record certificate with Apostille
  6. 6Private health insurance valid in Spain with no co-pay
  7. 7Valid passport
  8. 8NIE (Foreigner Identification Number)
  9. 9Padrón (town hall registration)

Important Notes

Special tax regime: 24% flat tax on income up to €600,000/year for first 6 years (Beckham Law). Can bring family. No Spanish employer needed.
