Requirements & Documents

1Recognized university degree or at least 2-year vocational qualification (recognized in country of origin)
2Minimum 6 points from the Chancenkarte points system
3German language A1+ (1 point) or English B2+ (1 point) — both can give more points
4Qualification recognized in Germany = 4 points (partial recognition = 4 points too)
5Professional experience: 2 points for 2 years, 3 points for 5 years
6Age: under 35 = 2 points, under 40 = 1 point
7Proof of financial means for 1 year (€12,228 blocked account or part-time work)
8Previous stay in Germany (6+ months) = 1 point

Can work 20 hours/week part-time while job-seeking. Can do 2-week trial work per employer. Once you find a qualified job, convert to work permit.
