Requirements & Documents

  1. 1Sponsor must have valid residence permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis, EU Blue Card, or Aufenthaltserlaubnis)
  2. 2Sponsor must have adequate living space and sufficient income
  3. 3Marriage certificate (Nikah Nama + NADRA with certified German translation)
  4. 4Basic German language certificate (A1 level from Goethe-Institut)
  5. 5Valid passports
  6. 6Proof of genuine marriage
  7. 7Criminal record certificate

Important Notes

Spouse of EU Blue Card holder is exempt from A1 German requirement. Can work immediately after arrival in Germany.
